Kitsuna - "Can I Love"
Kitsuna’s music runs along borders. Familiar and unfamiliar, classic and future. Cold synthesizers, hypnotic rhythms, cinematic arrangements, and through it all pervading themes of loneliness and self-reflection. Writing, recording, and producing all his music alone, Kitsuna considers it a challenge against himself to see how far he can stretch into the far corners of his abilities. Attracted to many different styles of music and adverse to pigeonholing, Kitsuna’s music appears as a unique mosaic, glimmering with varying genres; something entirely his own. R&B and pop music from the ’80s, jazz-fusion, soundtrack music, and even some OVO influences from his native Toronto can be heard in Kitsuna’s music, creating a style that cannot be easily labelled, but is quickly identifiable in itself. When not making music, the man behind Kitsuna (Sam Pomanti) is busy internationally as a touring/session keyboardist and background vocalist, as a producer and songwriter with other artists, and recently as a short film composer. A person of many masks, Kitsuna is his creative playground devoid of rules.
